Police are warning residents of a recent string of home burglaries, several of which took place on the same block, in the Englewood neighborhood on the South Side.

In seven incidents, burglars broke into apartments and homes via windows, and stole electronics and other items, according to a community alert from Chicago Police.

The burglaries happened:

  • about 12:10 a.m. July 20 in the 5700 block of South Loomis;
  • about 9 a.m. July 20 in the 5700 block of South Loomis;
  • about 3:30 p.m. July 20 in the 5600 block of South Loomis;
  • about 4:30 p.m. July 21 in the 5600 block of South Justine;
  • about 12:30 p.m. July 24 in the 5600 block of South Bishop;
  • about 2:20 p.m. July 24 in the 5700 block of South Justine; and
  • about 2:30 p.m. July 25 in the 5600 block of South Loomis.

The suspects are only described as black males, police said.
