PHILADELPHIA — Sneed’s perch on the final day of the Democratic National Convention — finally.

She split the bill!

First lady Michelle Obama’s stunning performance on the DNC stage Monday was followed up by a quick trip to Chicago.

Preparing for the impending site announcement of the Obama Presidential Library in Jackson Park, Mrs. Obama hit town Tuesday and headed to dinner at a posh Streeterville eatery, Fig & Olive.

“It was a Princess Diana moment when she walked through the door,” a Sneed source said. “She was so regal.”

“No reservations were made in advance, but a surprise retinue of Secret Service agents showed up and took over in order to seat her in a separate area from most diners,” the source said.

So at 6:45 Tuesday night, less than 24 hours after her boffo DNC speech, “Mrs. Obama was seated at table 511 wearing a black jumpsuit cinched at the waist.”

She ordered truffled mushroom croquettes and medium-rare Allen Brothers steak; asparagus and truffle fries; declined dessert and ordered two glasses of wine,” the source said.

Mrs. Obama also shared the starters with her single female companion, an unidentified woman who was NOT Valerie Jarrett, the Obama family’s BFF.

“She was so upbeat and happy and gracious to a diner who walked over to her to say her speech was fabulous despite ruffled Secret Service agents, who were sitting at separate tables nearby,” the source added.

The end shot: Mrs. Obama split the check using her J.P. Morgan credit card and tipped 30 percent.

Thumping Trump!

Dissing Donald: Sneed is told Wendy Paulson, the wife of GOP former president George W. Bush’s U.S. Treasury Secretary Henry Paulson — who just announced he’ll be voting for Hillary Rodham Clinton — is going one step further.

She is hosting a fundraiser for Clinton on Aug. 11 in downtown Chicago.

Contribution level: 50,000 bucks.

An off-the-record comment from a top GOP fundraiser: “It’s unf——believable!”

Rockin’ Rahm . . .

Mayor Rahm Emanuel, a Clinton devotee, may have been thwacked on social media for being a “calculating cowardly hack” for advising President Barack Obama not to back the Affordable Care Act — shockingly noted in a video at the DNC Wednesday night — but he sure didn’t show any angst that same night at his rocking, rolling party in Philly.

Known for being an early bird, the Rahmster got there late, was greeted by a young, overflowing crowd jamming to the music of Blues Traveler — and left at 2:30 a.m.

The boisterous crowd included Terry McAuliffe, Cook County Assessor Joe Berrios, U.S. Commerce Secretary Penny Pritzker, and a flock of Chicago aldermen including Ald. Ed Burke (14th).

Rockin’ & bobbin’ . . .

Rahm’s rock fest was so hot even Rahm basher Troy LaRaviere, one of the mayor’s fiercest public school critics, showed up and swilled a few brews.

The name game . . .

U.S. Rep. Jan Schakowsky is telling everyone she can’t wait to say two words: “Madam President.”

Bang. Bang.

Ald. Patrick D. Thompson (11th), a member of the Daley dynasty, tells Sneed he is not happy about Chicago getting singled out as a crime capital at the political conventions: “It’s not right. We are not the poster child of crime,” he said.

The men’s room . . .

Chicago attorney Kevin O’Keefe, who double-dated with Clinton when they were in college [“I dated her friend!”] tells Sneed he knew in 1969 she would one day be president.

“She was a guest on the late Sun-Times columnist Irv Kupcinet’s show and Hillary was speaking out against the war on Vietnam. A comment was published she made during a speech at Wellesley College. It was then I knew she could be the president.”

A medical report . . .

U.S. Sen. Dick Durbin made it personal.

As a major supporter of the Affordable Care Act, also known as Obamacare, Durbin said he had no health insurance when his first child was born, and showed up at the hospital looking for the charity ward.

“I’ve never felt more inadequate as a husband and a father. I never want anyone to have to feel like that.”

Tips & twaddle . . .

The veggie rolls in the DNC suite of vegan former president Bill Clinton were almost inedible. “Awful,” a Sneedster said. . . . Actress Meryl Streep complaining of stage fright at the DNC podium. . . . House Minority Leader Nancy Pelosi’s granddaughters singing along as Broadway star Idina Menzel sang “Frozen” favorite “Let It Go” at a DCCC’s Women’s Tea. . . . Dem State Treasurer hopeful Susana Mendoza claims to have put 25,000 miles on her car traveling the state since August. . . . Former U.S. Rep. Jesse Jackson Jr., who is keeping a low profile since his release from prison, may not be here, but his brother, Jonathan, and sister, Santita, are keeping him apprised of the goings on.
