A man was shot to death Friday morning in the Englewood neighborhood on the South Side.

At 5:58 a.m., officers responded to a call of a person shot in the 6500 block of South Peoria and found the man, thought to be in his 20s, unresponsive, according to Chicago Police. He was pronounced dead at the scene.

The Cook County medical examiner’s office confirmed the fatality, but did not provide additional details Friday morning.
