A 35-year-old man was shot and seriously wounded Friday evening in the South Side Gresham neighborhood.

He suffered gunshot wounds to the leg, arm and torso at 7:39 p.m. in the 8700 block of South Peoria, according to Chicago Police.

The man was taken to Christ Medical Center in Oak Lawn in serious condition.

Police did not immediately have details on the circumstances of the shooting.
