A man was shot Friday afternoon in the Albany Park neighborhood on the Northwest Side.

The 29-year-old was walking west in the 3100 block of West Montrose at 2:08 p.m. when a black pickup approached and someone inside fired shots, according to Chicago Police.

He was shot in the left hand and walked into Swedish Covenant Hospital, police said.

The pickup drove off after the shooting.
