An 18-year-old man was shot Sunday afternoon in the Brainerd neighborhood on the South Side.

He was inside a garage at 1:56 p.m. in the 9200 block of South Throop when someone entered and started shooting at him, according to Chicago Police. He was struck in the thigh and taken to Christ Medical Center in Oak Lawn in serious condition.

No one was in custody, police said.
