A 50-year-old man making a food delivery was shot in the East Garfield Park neighborhood late Friday.

About 11:15 p.m., the man was getting out of his vehicle in the 3500 block of West Adams when he was confronted by a man in his 20s, police said. The older man tried to get back in his vehicle, but the younger man shot him in the right arm.

He was taken to Stroger Hospital, where his condition had stabilized, police said.
