A 22-year-old man was shot and seriously wounded early Monday in the Roseland neighborhood on the Far South Side.

About 1:30 a.m., he was outside in the 600 block of East 107th Street when he heard shots and realized he’d been hit in the chest, according to Chicago Police.

Friends drove him to Roseland Community Hospital, and he later was transferred in serious condition to Christ Medical Center in Oak Lawn, police said.
