A man was shot Monday morning in the Roseland neighborhood on the Far South Side.

The shooting happened about 8:50 a.m. in the 200 block of West 109th Place, according to Chicago Police.

The 34-year-old man was shot in the buttocks and taken to Christ Medical Center in Oak Lawn, where his condition stabilized, police said.

Police said the victim is a convicted felon and a documented gang member.
