A 58-year-old man was killed in an industrial accident Tuesday morning in south suburban Monee.

Authorities responded to Advanced Mobility in the 6300 block of Emerald Parkway, according to Monee police and the Cook County medical examiner’s office.

Leo Micheletto was working underneath a semi trailer when a hydraulic line was punctured, and the trailer fell onto his head and chest, according to police and the medical examiner’s office.

Micheletto, of the 7500 block of West Silo Drive in Frankfort, was taken to Franciscan St. James Health in Olympia Fields, where he was pronounced dead at 10:47 a.m. Tuesday, according to the medical examiner’s office.

An autopsy found he died of multiple blunt-force injuries from an industrial accident, according to the medical examiner’s office.

Monee police said they have not had any safety issues or concerns with the company in the past.

Advanced Mobility designs and builds custom trailers and specialty vehicles for the healthcare, television production and bank industries, according to their website.

The federal OSHA is investigating the accident, a spokesman said.
