Man shot in leg in Calumet Heights

A man was shot in the leg Wednesday morning in the South Side Calumet Heights neighborhood.

The shooting happened at 7:26 a.m. in the 8900 block of South South Chicago, according to Chicago Police.

The 27-year-old victim was shot in the leg, and was taken in serious condition to Christ Medical Center in Oak Lawn, police said.
