Wicker Park’s Saved by the Max pop-up diner is hosting a special brunch event on July 17.

Reservation tickets will be available starting at 8 a.m. July 8 for a one-time special seated “Brunch with Mr. Belding,” with seatings from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. July 17. Actor Dennis Haskins, who portrayed the series’ beloved principal, will be on hand for the brunch event. Tickets are $35, and the menu will include a biscuit, entree course and choice of side. Visit savedbythemax.com for tickets (seating is extremely limited) and more information.

After July 17, walk-in seated brunch service will resume on weekends. Reserved-seating brunch was discontinued last month.

The eatery is scheduled to remain open for business through Dec. 31. Reservations are strongly recommended for regular dinner service.
