A man was shot multiple times Friday evening in the South Side Back of the Yards neighborhood.

The 23-year-old was shot in the back and jaw at 51st and Racine at 5:22 p.m., according to Chicago Police.

He was taken to Stroger Hospital, where his condition stabilized.

Police said the man is a documented gang member and is not cooperating with investigators.
