A 17-year-old boy was shot and critically wounded Sunday evening in the West Garfield Park neighborhood on the West Side.

The teenager was shot in the chest about 8:30 p.m. in the 4000 block of West Gladys, according to Chicago Police.

He was taken in critical condition to Mount Sinai Hospital, police said, adding that he was not cooperating with investigators.
