Two people were shot on the Near West Side Monday evening.

A 13-year-old boy and a 21-year-old man were standing in the 100 block of North Wood at 5:27 p.m. when a dark-colored vehicle drove by and someone inside began shooting, according to Chicago Police.

The 13-year-old was shot in the hand and taken to Stroger Hospital where his condition stabilized, police said. The man suffered a graze wound to the head and refused treatment at the scene.
