Clock Theater will be the first theater company to make use of The Broadway, (formerly Profiles Theatre) at 4139 N. Broadway, part of the Pride Arts Center, it was announced today. The company will stage “Irrational Tales,” which features a series of vignettes based on horror stories including: “Dr. Heidegger’s Experiment” by Nathaniel Hawthorne, “The Gorgon” by Aston Clarke Smith, “A Diamond as Big as the Ritz” based on a short story by F. Scott Fitzgerald and “Reflections.”

Clock Theater artistic director, David Denman, a former company member of National Pastime Theater (the troupe that inhabited the theater site prior to Profiles) said in the official statement: “It is very ironic that as a former resident of the space with National Pastime, my theater is returning to the space once again.”

The show runs Sept. 1-30, with performances Thursday through Sundays. For tickets, $15, visit brownpapertickets.com.
