Man shot in Lawndale

A man was shot in the Lawndale neighborhood Tuesday night on the West Side.

The 26-year-old was walking about 9:45 p.m. in the 3900 block of West Grenshaw when he heard gunfire and realized he’d been shot in the right leg, according to Chicago Police.

He was taken to Stroger Hospital, where his condition was stabilized, police said, adding that the man is a documented gang member.
