Three recent burglaries were reported by police in the Lake View and Boystown neighborhoods on the North Side.

In each of the burglaries, unknown offenders gained access to homes through an unlocked window or door to steal property, according to a community alert from Chicago Police.

A burglary was reported between Aug. 1-8 in the 3300 block of North Kenmore in Lake View, according to police. Another was reported between 11 a.m. and midnight Aug. 7 in the same block.

A third burglary was reported between 10 a.m. and midnight Aug. 5-6 in the 800 block of West Newport in Boystown, police said.
