Two men were wounded in an Austin neighborhood shooting Thursday evening on the West Side.

The men, ages 21 and 32, were both shot about 6:20 p.m. in the 700 block of North Lorel, according to preliminary information from Chicago Police.

The younger man was shot in the back, and the older man suffered gunshot wounds to the leg and groin, police said.

They were taken to West Suburban Medical Center in Oak Park, where the 21-year-old was listed in good condition. The older man was transferred in serious condition to Stroger Hospital.
