A 77-year-old man died Monday, five days after he was struck by a vehicle in northwest suburban Rosemont.

Joseph Paglini died at 12:23 a.m. Monday at Lutheran General Hospital in Park Ridge, according to the Cook County medical examiner’s office.

Paglini was struck by a vehicle on Aug. 3 in the 900 block of Higgins Road in Rosemont, according to the medical examiner’s office. He lived in the first block of Park Lane in Park Ridge.

An autopsy found he died of complications from multiple blunt force injuries from being struck by a motor vehicle, and his death was ruled an accident.

Rosemont police couldn’t immediately provide information about the crash.
