A man was wounded in a Back of the Yards neighborhood shooting Thursday evening on the South Side.

About 7:45 p.m., the 25-year-old was sitting in front of a home in the 5100 block of South Wood when he heard gunshots and realized he had been hit in the left foot, according to Chicago Police.

He took himself to St. Bernard Hospital, where he was listed in good condition, police said.

About the same time, a man was shot in both legs on the Southwest Side.
