A man died Wednesday night, one day after he was shot in the Austin neighborhood on the West Side.
Dontae Roberts, 30, was was sitting in a vehicle at 10:56 p.m. Tuesday parked in the 5900 block of West Division when someone exited a vehicle nearby and opened fire, according to Chicago Police and the Cook County medical examiner’s office.
Roberts was shot in the head and was taken to Loyola University Medical Center in Maywood, where he was pronounced dead at 8:37 p.m. Wednesday, authorities said. He lived in the 8800 block of South Mozart.
