A man was shot Thursday morning in the Roseland neighborhood on the Far South Side.

About 11:40 a.m., the 31-year-old exited a vehicle in the 10700 block of South Cottage Grove when a white minivan pulled up and someone inside opened fire, according to Chicago Police. The minivan then sped away.

The man suffered two gunshot wounds to the right side of his abdomen, and was taken to Roseland Community Hospital, where his condition was stabilized, police said.
