A 19-year-old man was shot in the groin in the Humboldt Park neighborhood Thursday night.

The man was discovered by responding officers about 11:25 p.m. in the 3900 block of West Thomas. He was taken to Mount Sinai Hospital where his condition was stabilized, Chicago Police said.

Area North detectives are investigating.
