Mayor Rahm Emanuel will be on hand today for a celebration rally in honor of the Clear Ridge Baseball team’s Senior League World Series title.

The event kicks off at noon today at the Hale Park Baseball diamond, 6258 W. 62nd St.

According to DNAinfo.com, Clear Ridge Championship T-shirts will be available for purchase at the rally. After the rally, a DJ will play music from 1-3 p.m. A concession stand will be stocked with pizza, hot dogs, water and pop.

The 15 and 16- year-old players defeated Australia on Aug. 6 to claim the title. The victory marked the first time an Illinois team has won the title in the 55-year history of the league.
