A man was left in critical condition after he was shot in the North Lawndale neighborhood on the West Side late Friday.

The 33-year-old was standing on the rear porch of a home in the 1200 block of South Avers about 11:45 p.m. when he was shot twice in the abdomen, police said.

He was taken to Mount Sinai Hospital in critical condition, police said.
