Chicago Police are cautioning New City and Canaryville residents after a series of armed robberies over the last two weeks in the South Side neighborhoods.

The hold-ups happened about 3 p.m. July 31 in the 300 block of West 51st Street; about 4:45 p.m. Aug. 5 in the 5100 block of South Emerald; and about 5:30 a.m. Aug. 9 in the 300 block of West 47th Street, according to a community alert issued Sunday by Deering District police.

Police don’t have a detailed description of the possible robbers. Anyone with information should call Area Central detectives at (312) 747-8382.
