An 18-year-old man was shot while riding in a vehicle early Sunday on the Bishop Ford Expressway on the Far South Side.

He was riding in a vehicle driven by a 21-year-old man northbound on I-94 at 115th Street about 4 a.m. when a black SUV pulled alongside and someone inside fired multiple shots, according to Illinois State Police.

The passenger was shot once in the right calf and taken to Trinity Hospital with non-life-threatening injuries, police said. The driver was not shot.
