A damaged rail near the Grand station tied up southbound Red Line trains during the Tuesday morning rush.

Trains were rerouted from the subway to elevated tracks between Fullerton and Cermak-Chinatown after the damage was found about 9 a.m., according to the CTA.

The problem was fixed by about 11 a.m., with trains running normal routes with some delays, the CTA said.
