A man was critically wounded in a shooting Tuesday evening in the Northwest Side Hermosa neighborhood.

About 8:36 p.m., the 24-year-old was in an alley in the 4000 block of West Armitage when a vehicle pulled up and someone inside shot him in the chest, according to Chicago Police.

He was taken to Mount Sinai Hospital in critical condition, police said.
