A man was fatally shot Tuesday afternoon in the River West neighborhood.

Mikel Maragh, 26, was in a vehicle at 5:12 p.m. in the 1400 block of West Carroll when someone walked up and shot at him, according to Chicago Police and the Cook County medical examiner’s office.

Maragh, who lived in the 2000 block of West Jackson, was shot in the head and taken to Stroger Hospital, where he was pronounced dead at 5:45 p.m., authorities said.
