Gary police are searching for a 36-year-old man who has not been seen or heard from for more than a week.

Willie Battle was reported missing Monday, and has not been seen or heard from since Aug. 7, according to police.

Battle is a 5-foot-9, 160-pound black man with black hair and brown eyes, police said. He was last seen wearing a baseball cap, blue shirt and dark jeans. He rides a green Huffy bicycle.

Police said there is some concern about Battle’s mental status.
