FOXBOROUGH, Mass. — One day after missing practice with what he described as a scheduling conflict, Zach Miller participated in the Bears’ joint walk-through with the Patriots on Wednesday.
“It felt good to get back out there,” the tight end said. “It’s no fun to be on the sideline any time. get a little sweat — get integrated back into the offense.”
After being placed in NFL concussion protocol Aug. 1, Miller returned to practice Saturday. He had a doctor’s appointment Tuesday, coach John Fox said then.
He had a medical appointment Tuesday and missed practice because the teams changed its time late Monday. Miller said his health had not regressed — “Just bad timing,” he said — but whether he plays Thursday will be telling. The Bears figure to be careful with Miller, their only proven tight end.
