A man was stabbed to death by his ex-girlfriend’s new boyfriend early Tuesday in the Belmont Cragin neighborhood on the Northwest Side, police said.

Alexis Gonzalez, 20, was charged with first-degree murder, according to Chicago Police.

Kirino Fabian, 19, was picking up his ex-girlfriend from her Gonzalez’ house at Lavergne and Dickens when Gonzalez stabbed him about 3:30 a.m., according to police and the Cook County medical examiner’s office.

Fabian suffered multiple stab wounds and was taken to Community First Medical Center, where he died at 4:55 a.m, according to the medical examiner’s office. He lived in the 2900 block of North Mango.

A 20-year-old man was stabbed in the right arm while trying to defend Fabian, authorities said. He was taken to the same hospital in good condition.

Gonzalez was scheduled to appear in bond court Wednesday.
