A 17-year-old girl was shot Thursday afternoon in the Armour Square neighborhood on the South Side.

The girl was shot in the leg at 4:36 p.m. in the 3800 block of South Wentworth, according to Chicago Police.

She was taken in fair condition to Stroger Hospital, police said. Additional information was not immediately available.
