A woman was killed and a man wounded in a shooting late Wednesday at a gas station in south suburban Calumet City.

It happened about 11:40 p.m. in the 200 block of Torrence Avenue, according to a statement from Calumet City police.

The victims, both 19, suffered multiple gunshot wounds, police said. Crystle M. Hunter, 19, was taken to a hospital, where she was pronounced dead at midnight Thursday, according to the Cook County medical examiner’s office. She lived in the 200 block of Yates Avenue in Calumet City.

The man, a Chicago resident, was stabilized at a hospital, police said.

A blue car with shot-out windows could be seen parked at a gas pump at the Go-Lo gas station early Thursday.
