A Naperville man was charged Tuesday with burglarizing a vehicle after police caught him trespassing at a residence in the west suburb.

Nicholas S. Bavol, 20, was charged with two counts of burglary to a motor vehicle, criminal trespass to a building and criminal trespass to a vehicle, according to a statement from Naperville police.

Officers responding to a call of an unwanted person in the 800 block of Manchester Street at 9:07 a.m. Tuesday saw him leaving the residence, police said. An investigation later revealed that he had been trespassing on the property and was in possession of stolen property from burglaries to motor vehicles in the area.

Bavol lives on the same block where the burglary occurred, police said. His bail information was not available Tuesday evening.
