A 28-year-old man died after he was shot Monday afternoon in the West Lawn neighborhood on the Southwest Side.

Miguel Diaz was discovered with multiple gunshot wounds on the sidewalk in the 3900 block of West 68th Street at 2:09 p.m., according to Chicago Police and the Cook County medical examiner’s office.

Diaz, who lived on the same block, was taken to Christ Medical Center in Oak Lawn, where he was pronounced dead at 5:10 p.m., authorities said.

His death was ruled a homicide.
