A man was shot in the foot early Saturday in the West Englewood neighborhood on the South Side.

The 35-year-old was standing outside in the 5500 block of South Hermitage about 12:56 a.m. when he heard shots and realized he’d been hit in the foot, according to Chicago Police.

He was taken to Stroger Hospital, where his condition was stabilized, police said.
