A 47-year-old man was shot late Saturday in the South Loop.

He was sitting in the passenger seat of a vehicle at 11:32 p.m. in the 500 block of West Taylor when a person in a vehicle drove by and began shooting, according to Chicago Police. The 47-year-old was shot in both legs.

He was taken to Mercy Hospital and Medical Center where his condition was stabilized, police said.
