A 19-year-old man was shot Sunday afternoon in the North Lawndale neighborhood on the West Side.

He was standing on the corner in the 2200 block of South Central Park at 1:54 p.m. when a suspect fired shots, according to Chicago Police.

The man was shot in the head and abdomen and was taken to Mount Sinai Hospital, where his condition was stabilized, police said.
