A 20-year-old man was shot to death Saturday night in the Belmont Gardens neighborhood on the Northwest Side.

Officers responding to a call of a person down about 8:15 p.m. in the 2700 block of North Harding found Mario Mojica-Rios dead at the scene with a gunshot wound to the back of the head, according to Chicago Police and the Cook County medical examiner’s office.

Mojica-Rios, of the 4000 block of West Nelson, was pronounced dead at the scene at 8:36 p.m., according to the medical examiner’s office. His death was ruled a homicide.
