Man shot to death in Cicero

A 22-year-old man was shot to death early Sunday in west suburban Cicero.

Julio Servin was walking with friends at 23rd Street and Central Avenue about 3:20 a.m. when he was confronted by the shooter, Cicero spokesman Ray Hanania said.

Servin, of the 5400 block of West 23rd Street in Cicero, was taken to Loyola University Medical Center in Maywood where he was pronounced dead at 3:55 a.m., according to the Cook County medical examiner’s office.

Cicero police are investigating the shooting with the West Suburban Major Crimes Task Force.
