A man was shot several times in the Chatham neighborhood on the South Side Wednesday night.

The 20-year-old was in the 7900 block of South Eberhart about 7:05 p.m. when two vehicles approached and someone in one of the two shot him several times, police said.

He was taken to Northwestern Memorial Hospital with gunshot wounds to his abdomen, arm, leg and buttocks, police said. His condition had stabilized.
