Man shot in South Austin

A man was shot in the South Austin neighborhood on the West Side Wednesday afternoon.

The 21-year-old was standing outside at 3:04 p.m. in the 700 block of North Lotus when he heard shots and realized he was struck, according to Chicago Police. 

He was taken to Mount Sinai Hospital with a gunshot wound to the back and his condition was stabilized, police said.
