Teen shot in Avalon Park

A teenage boy was shot in the Avalon Park neighborhood on the South Side Wednesday afternoon.

The 15-year-old boy was shot at 4:46 p.m. in the 8000 block of Avalon after a person got out of a van and began shooting at him on the street, Chicago Police said.

He was struck in the back, abdomen, foot and arm and taken to Comer Children’s Hospital where his condition was stabilized, police said.
