A child was struck by a vehicle Wednesday morning in south suburban Merrionette Park.

The crash happened about 8 a.m. at West 115th Street and South Kedzie Avenue, according to Merrionette Park police.

The child was taken by Chicago Fire Department paramedics to Christ Medical Center in Oak Lawn, police said.

The child’s age, gender and condition weren’t immediately available.
