A motorcyclist was killed in a crash with an SUV Tuesday afternoon in northwest suburban Streamwood.

The Harley Davidson motorcycle and a 2004 Nissan SUV were both heading east in the 400 block of Lacy Avenue about 4:50 p.m. when the motorcycle struck the SUV, according to Streamwood police.

The motorcyclist, 28-year-old Ryan Hail of Streamwood, was thrown from the bike, and was pronounced dead at the scene at 5:20 p.m., authorities said.

The driver of the Nissan, a 42-year-old woman, was not seriously injured, police said.

The crash remains under investigation.
