A bank was robbed Thursday morning in the Woodlawn neighborhood on the South Side.

About 10:45 a.m., the suspect walked into the Chase Bank branch at 6650 S. Stony Island Ave. and handed a teller a note, demanding money, according to Chicago Police and the FBI. The teller complied, and the man ran away.

He did not show a weapon and no one was injured in the robbery, police said.

The suspect is described as black man, thought to be in his 40s, with grey hair and a thin build, the FBI said. He was wearing a dark blue shirt with yellow lettering.

Anyone with information on the robbery is asked to contact the FBI at (312) 421-6700.
