Two men were shot early Thursday while driving in the Washington Heights neighborhood on the Far South Side.

About midnight, they were in a vehicle making a turn in the 1000 block of West 97th when another vehicle pulled up alongside them and someone inside fired shots, according to Chicago Police.

A 20-year-old man was shot in the head and taken to Christ Medical Center in Oak Lawn in critical condition, police said. The other man, 18, suffered a graze wound to the abdomen and was taken to Little Company of Mary Hospital in Evergreen Park in good condition.
